Electrotechnical renovation of the S6 Semmering expressway in the section Gloggnitz – Maria Schutz. The highway will be renovated between km 21.40 and 23.40.

The refurbishment affects parts of the open street and the two tunnels Grasberg and Eselstein.

The project includes the installation of electrical equipment for the tunnels and the open street section. The control and control technology housed in the niches and control center will be completely replaced and put into operation again.

The Saalbach bypass tunnel is a single-tube, approx. 525 m long road tunnel which is used in oncoming traffic. The tunnel has an additional connected tunnel with a length of 83 m, which represents the entrance to the center of the car park or ends immediately afterwards at the west portal.

On the way on the freeway

Ein elektronischer Überkopfwegweiser informiert: Linker Fahrstreifen gesperrt. Nach wenigen Metern das nächste Verkehrszeichen: Jetzt ist auch der mittlere Streifen gesperrt. Ein paar hundert Meter weiter wird der Verkehr von der Autobahn ausgeleitet – alle Fahrzeuge fahren in einen Kontrollplatz ein. Zusätzlich besteht die Möglichkeit, LKW und Busse in den Gewichtsklassen 2,8t und 3,5t separat aus dem Verkehr auszuleiten.
