Intelligent traffic light control

The ECO-AMPEL control unit can be used to control and monitor traffic light systems. The control unit provides all essential information via potential-free contacts, enabling the traffic lights to be controlled and monitored using standard IO modules.
A second 160V power supply input is used for night-time dimming. This allows day-night switching to be implemented without additional electrical components.
The ECO-AMPEL control unit is based on a microcontroller and is equipped with modular and powerful system software.
The ECO-AMPEL control unit meets the requirements of RVS 09.02.22, PlaPB 800.563 (ASFINAG BuS) and PlaPB 800.552 (ASFINAG TIFL). It can be used to implement applications in accordance with ÖNORM EN 12675 and OVE EN 50556.

  • Operating mode switch and selection button for manual control (local mode) on the device
  • Blue LED indicators for selection display of manual control on the device
  • Measurement of the AC supply voltage for function monitoring
  • Function check for each light source in the on and off state
  • Integrated fuse for day and night supply
  • Selectable colour sequence types can be parameterised: red-yellow-green, yellow, red, red-yellow, red-green
  • Selectable mode: direct switching of inputs or STVO-compliant colour sequence switching,
  • blocking of invalid traffic light states
  • System parameterisation and status query via Modbus/RS485:
  • #After a power failure and subsequent power restoration, yellow
  • flashing (time parameterisable) and then signal switching as required
  • #Default switching also via Modbus/RS485
  • Flashing synchronised with external flashing clock or internal flashing clock; if the external flashing clock fails, there is an automatic switch to the internal flashing clock
